3 CROW BARHOME

It’s doubtful that Ralph Petway knew he was starting a tradition when he opened his Beer Garden at 1022 Woodland in 1949. However, over the last 55 years, this spot at the crossroads of East Nashville has continued to be a meeting place for the neighborhood. The corner of Five Points at 11th & Woodland has been home to a number of great bars over the years with names like The Fish Bowl, Jimmy’s, Slobar, Corner Tavern, Shirley’s, Chatterbox and East Side Tavern. All these establishments provided the community a place to kick back, share a drink and visit with friends. We at 3 Crow Bar hope to continue the tradition started by Mr. Petway way back when. Our goal is to provide great, friendly service in a fun, laid back atmosphere. Whether you enjoy sitting by one of the big, roll up windows and watching your neighbors go by, playing a game of darts, watching the game on TV at the bar or perhaps a quiet conversation under the stars on the Ralph Petway Beer Garden Patio, our goal is to make you feel at home. In the words of co-owner Ric Clarke on opening night, “We built this bar for you!” So now that you know the story, you can understand why the owners of 3Crow Bar are so proud to be part of a neighborhood with such history and tradition. We hope all of Nashville will come visit to see what Mr. Petway figured out all those years ago…Five Points in East Nashville is the best place to be!
